Here is our next topic for our Coffee with Dika session, Special Needs Children in Your Class.

As a teacher or educator, we often feel helpless when we are faced with children with special needs. How much do we know about them? What are the ways we can help them to include them in our day to day teaching? During the session, the presenter will discuss the fundamentals of inclusive education. She will also share ways to accommodate children with special needs in your classroom.

The Presenter

Ms Venus Lim, B. Music, PGD Special Needs Education, Master in Special Needs Education (in-progress)

She has been in the early childhood industry for more than 8 years. Since her first degree in Music 9 years ago and as a certified Musikgarten teacher, she has worked with numerous children ages 3 months to 12 years old. Her passion and curiosity when working with young children has driven her to pursue her Master degree in Special Needs Education. Students enjoyed her classes as she is patient, loveable and imparts her knowledge in a creative and engaging manner. Her love for children has driven her to pursue lecturing, so that more teachers are influenced positively and creatively while educating young children.
